Elianna Gerb is a sophomore in the ISE department and is a Davenport Leadership Scholar. She did not waste anytime getting involved. She is a Rates Sector Junior Analyst for BASIS (Bond and Securities Investing by Students) and she writes analytical research summaries of portfolio-relevant news, and Informative reports. Additionally, she has an active role in the Student Government Association, College of Engineering. She is a senator and has drafted and passed legislation for student academic success, green indicatives, inclusion and diversity, and the smoke-free campus campaign.
She studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia at the University of Melbourne. While there she was able to interact with a diverse group of people coming from all different backgrounds and schools of thought.
Eliana has also worked for Altec Inc. as a manufacturing engineer. She was responsible for the day-to-day production support and leading Kaizen events across all areas of the plant.
Eliana has enjoyed her time here at VT and she wants to continue to travel and experience new things. She hopes to have traveled to all 7 continents by the age of 25.
