Co-Founder & CEO of Lineshift
Don Meier is the Co-Founder and CEO of LineShift, and an MBA Candidate and Zell Fellow at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also a Resident at The Garage at Northwestern and the Co-President of the Kellogg Entrepreneur Organization.
Don grew up in small-town, industrial Pennsylvania and has been surrounded by the manufacturing ecosystem for the majority of his personal life and professional career. With family, friends, and a hometown that depends on the future of the industry, he is passionate about advancing manufacturers and especially the manufacturing workforce into the next generation.
Don attended Virginia Tech, earning a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering with minors in Green Engineering and Business. Don has worked across the industrial and systems engineering spectrum with roles including designing decision support tools for high risk disaster evacuations, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and small business consulting. In addition, Don spent four years at Deloitte Consulting, designing and building custom software systems for clients in both healthcare and defense. Prior to LineShift, Don co-founded a 3D-printed medical device business, ProgrAM3D.
Don enjoys living in the honeymoon phase of his recent engagement, trying to make cuisine out of his league, tinkering with carpentry, practicing Spanish (please don’t quiz me), and has recently picked up sewing.
