Christian Johnson is currently an environmental, health, and safety (EHS) Executive with GE Power, the world leader in power generation with revenues of $36B and over 85,000 employees. In his current role, Christian leads EHS risk reduction for GE Power projects operations. In this $22B+ contract value project portfolio, GE Power engineers, procures and constructs power generation and electrical grid solutions for customers worldwide. Christian has over 25 years of professional experience, including the last 18 with GE.
Christian started his GE career at Corporate Headquarters as an ergonomist / health and safety manager supporting all GE businesses. He then moved through 4 other EHS leadership roles in GE businesses prior to his current assignment. Most recently Christian was the EHS Executive leader for GE Energy Connections, an $11B / 43,000 employee GE business focused on reliable and safe electrical transmission and conversion.
Prior to GE, Christian held ergonomics, health, and safety roles with Honda of America Manufacturing in Ohio and IBM Corporation in San Jose, California. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech. Christian is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and a Certified Safety Professional.
