Myounghoon Jeon co-chairs International Conference on Automotive User Interfaces
Myounghoon "Philart" Jeon represented Virginia Tech as he co-chaired the 14th International Conference on Automotive User Interfaces at his alma mater, Yonsei University in Seoul Korea, September 17-20th. During the conference, he was elected as a steering committee member of the AutoUI community and his group took home the Best Video Award, which was created by his Ph.D. student, Manhua Wang.
Jeon's Ph.D. students, Manhua Wang and Jiayuan Dong attended the conference in person and served as student volunteers. Ph.D. students, Chihab Nadri and Abhraneil Dam hosted workshops remotely.
Jeon's previous postdoc, Seulchan Lee, and previous Ph.D. student, Shabnam FakhrHosseini, served as program co-chairs of the conference.
Jeon's group had 1 full paper and 2 video presentations and co-hosted 4 workshops with international collaborators. Jeon also served as an expert panel for the Doctoral Colloquium event. The conference had ~175 attendees from 18 countries.
