Kimberly Harris receives ASEM Merl Baker Award
Kimberly Harris, Ph.D. student in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech, has received the Merl Baker Award from the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM). The award was in recognition of her her paper titled, "Design of an Expert Survey to Evaluate Success Factors for Kaizen Events in Hospitals".
The Merl Baker Award recognizes the best International Annual Conference Student Paper for its outstanding contributions to the engineering management profession.
Kimberly is advised by Department Head Dr. Eileen Van Aken.
The American Society for Engineering Management, widely known as ASEM, is the worldwide society which speaks for the profession of engineering management. Members include academics from engineering management and closely affiliated fields such as industrial engineering as well as engineering management professionals from a wide variety of high technology industries.
This award was presented at ASEM's International Annual Conference (IAC), held October 5th through the 8th, 2022.
