CHPM is providing outreach through trainings, workforce development, and professional education engagements. The center can also customize trainings for your company. Below are examples of workshops that can be customized for a client.

Workshop highlights the potential security issues related to an interconnected manufacturing facility. Participants work through a case study of an Industry 4.0 facility and collaboratively identify gaps in traditional information security applications when applied to cyber-physcial systems. The workshop also features an overview of cyber-physical security concerns in industry as well as reseach presentations.

Class lecture, discussion, and demonstration on the use of advanced technologies and approaches in reverse engineering of biological structures and bio-printing of various materials.

Lecture, lab tours and hands on exercises related to the technology of additive manufacturing (AM). Design considerations, process capabilities and effective process monitoring will be reviewed for multiple types of additive processes.

Hands-on practical experience in four separate traditional manufacturing technologies designed to provide participants with a tactile understanding of metals, materials, and machinery. Processes most often requested are casting, welding, electrical discharge machining, CNC programming and machining.
