ISE People

Tonya Smith-Jackson teaching

The most important "input" we have is our people. While this may be a cliche for some organizations, ISE at Virginia Tech is comprised of some special people. Research sponsors who are really partners, faculty who are really mentors and staff who are like family. Students thrive in such an engaging and warm environment situated in such a beautiful part of the Country. And there are additional interesting characteristics of ISE at Virginia Tech. Did you know that the New River Valley and its mountains of Southwest Virginia is one of the top locations to retire in the US? Therefore, many of our distinguished retirees are still a vital part of our ISE family and students and sponsors have the opportunity to benefit from their expansive knowledge and wisdom.
