Biographical Information

Hometown: Alexandria, VA

Highlights Ed is very happy to be back at Va Tech! He is an active duty US Army Engineer Officer. He graduated from Va Tech in 1993 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers. After serving in Germany, Kuwait, and Bosnia, he returned to Va Tech in 2000 and received a M.S. in Civil Engineering in 2002. He then returned to Germany and later served two tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. In the Fall of 2008, Ed returned to Va Tech again to start his PhD in the ISE Department. Ed, his wife Allison, and two kids (Emma and Eddie) live in Christiansburg.

Plans upon graduation: As part of a program to bring qualified instructors to West Point, Ed will teach cadets in the Systems Engineering Department at the United States Military Academy.
