Outreach to our professional and societal communities takes many forms for ISE at Virginia Tech. Through state-of-the-art distance learning equipment, staff and best practices, the Blacksburg and National Capital campuses are inextricably linked. Part time students can take night classes after work not only in Washington, D.C. but throughout the region. In house or regional continuing education workshops, seminars and conferences are also regularly conducted for sponsors on a host of topics. One defining characteristic of Virginia Tech and the ISE Program at Virginia Tech is our strong international programs, which also takes a number of flavors. From undergraduate exchanges with such places as France, Mexico and the U.K. to a European dual degree international Masters program to faculty projects and exchanges around the world, borders of ISE at Virginia Tech expand well beyond Virginia, Washington, D.C. and even the United States!
