About Us, Fast Facts, History, ISE Scrapbook Locations & Contacts What is ISE?
On April 23, 2009, the U.S. News and World Report ranked our graduate program #4 in the nation. This is an increase of three positions in the past year and is the highest ranking achieved, either at graduate or undergraduate levels, in the history of our program. Our current undergraduate ranking is #6, and the Virginia Tech College of Engineering is in a 4-way tie for #27.
Our department strives for excellence in all that we do, and it is very nice to know that our efforts are working. This high ranking reminds us that we have an excellent external reputation. With this reputation, however, comes the responsibility to strive for continuous improvement to ensure that we are providing the very best graduate and undergraduate education possible.
Our current ranking places us in very strong company. We are flattered and honored to be in this position, and we'll do everything in our power to continue to deserve it.
